My bags are packed, I cleared out all my cupboards and gave all of my food to my boyfriend (who is quite pleased), and I'm an emotional nutcase en route to portland to catch my plane in the morning. Yep, sounds about right. I am leaving for Spain tomorrow.

I am sooo excited for my adventure and that my long time dream of studying abroad is coming true. I'm also proud that I have had the courage to follow through with it, because now that I'm here, the day before my trip, I'm really scared haha. Will my host family like me? Will I remember anything I learned? Can I even speak Spanish? Hopefully I will find that the answers to these questions is "yes".
I'm on an adventure, and what kind of adventure comes with no reservations?

This might sound sappy, but it should be said anyway. I'm not nervous to be in another part of the world or for a new experience. I am scared of how much I'm going to miss my coworkers at Dixon, my friends, my parents, and my boyfriend. I have a pretty awesome life here in Oregon and I don't want the people I love to forget about me, or miss me less than I know I will miss them.

With that said, now I will have positive thoughts from here on out. I am so fortunate to have this opportunity! I am going to learn Spanish, see Europe, make new friends, and see how strong and independent I can be for the first time :) the people I'm studying abroad with will be my family in no time I'm sure, and summer is just around the corner!
